We were seated right away at a booth in the bar area. Not sure if this applies to the wine side, but to be seated in the saloon, we had to present our IDs. There are two parts to the restaurant, a saloon (think bar) and a wine dive (think wine cellar vibes). We went to the Saloon part of the restaurant. We found Boneyard Saloon as an option on Yelp. My husband and I were looking for a late night bite on our first night (a Wednesday) when we arrived in Park City. However, I would steer clear of this hotel/resort. The Deer Valley area is beautiful, for sure! If you are a skier, this is a top place to be. Matthew Holmes (Director or Rooms) following our visit, asking him to return my call to discuss a number of items, including the stolen Bose speaker, and of course, our business was so important to him that he NEVER returned my call. While the room was nice, we had to endure a rain head in the shower that leaked cold water on us while we were showering. In addition, we were told that breakfast was included with our room, yet when we went to the Apex restaurant where breakfast was serviced, we were told we needed to pay for breakfast. The only possible explanation is that the speaker was stolen by one of the staff, as there is clear documentation and witness accounts that the speaker was placed in the hands of hotel staff We had a portable Bose speaker that was stolen during the time the hotel was holding our luggage and until our room was ready. What we received in return was some of the absolute worst service you can imagine. We spent one night at this hotel and spent in excess of $2,000 for the room. That pretty much ends anything positive I can offer with relation to this resort. It seems like they are trying too hard to be unique, and it's not working out.īeautiful property and resort. For a $260 meal (with drinks), I expect more. The manager could get $20's if they needed. Second, we paid with cash and the waiter said, "Do you have a credit card? I can't break a hundred." What?!? There's an ATM a few steps away. (Also, if I had a restaurant, I'd have a pour over available in a case like this). First, there was no coffee, but the way he told us was, well, odd. To top it off, the waiter was one of the most flippant I've ever had. The only thing hot was the skillet, but the food wasn't. It was chocolate cake-like crumble with a hard toffee disk and scoop of vanilla on top. The molten brownie wasn't molten or a brownie. The elk Bolognese had such a smoky taste that it could have been regular ground beef and its pasta was overcooked. It was fine, but the seasoning on the green beans overwhelmed the delicate taste of the fish (although I loved the green beans). The Steelhead trout was good (note: Steelhead is pinky like salmon, not a typical trout). I love a good hot German potato salad, but the variation of their sauce was awful. The pork belly was beautifully prepared, but the apple cider vinegar sauce was overwhelming. I'll start with the pros: Beautiful build out and beautiful presentation of the food. I was extremely disappointed with my meal. It was the worst meal I ever had for $57. I don’t like being told that my food is cooked perfectly when it’s not. I have eaten here a half dozen times but my first time in six months. Thankfully it did have ice cream to give it some moisture. I packed it and took it home.įor dessert my wife and I had the brownie with ice cream. I sent it back and asked for it to be broasted chicken. She basically told me I was wrong, that it was done perfectly. The manager came out and told me the seasoning they use makes the chicken pink. The curry was very strong, a bit over seasoned but ok.įor the main course, I had the fried chicken. I can’t remember the last time I sent a meal back besides last night.įor appetizer I had the turkey meat balls.
